Cheapest Unleaded 91 by state
Built to help you save on petrol, diesel & more.
Petrol Smart does more than show you a price. It is the most complete fuel app in Australia: every published price on one map, then forecasts, alerts, a route planner and a logbook that adds up what your car really costs.
Live prices on every map pin
Cents per litre printed right on the pin and shaded green through to red, so the cheapest fuel near you stands out before you tap anything.
Smart route planner
Plan a drive in the app and it finds the cheapest servo within the detour you are willing to make, not just the closest one on the way.
7-day price forecasts
A week of expected prices for every state, built from recent prices, the oil price in Australian dollars and the exchange rate, so you know whether to fill up today or wait.
Station & state price alerts
Set a target for one servo or for a whole state average, and we tell you the moment fuel drops under it.
Official government data
Prices come straight from each state and territory's own fuel feed, and every station shows when its price was last seen.
30-day price history & trends
Open any station or state to see how the price has moved over the past thirty days, so you can spot the cycle and see where today sits against the recent low.
Tell us your price. We'll watch for it.
Set a target for a station or a whole state's average and get told when fuel drops below it. Each alert fires once per drop, re-arms on its own when the price recovers, and never fires twice within the hour.
- Per station or per state average, for the fuel you actually buy.
- Email from the site, push from the app.
- Delete or pause any alert from Settings at any time.

What your car costs, without the paperwork
The app records your work drives on its own and keeps a running fuel logbook. Both sync to your account, so the totals are here when you sign in on the web.
- Work drives are recorded and classified, then totalled at the ATO cents-per-kilometre rate for the 2026-27 financial year — 91 cents — up to the 5,000 km limit per car.
- Fills capture litres, price and odometer, and turn into fuel economy and a cost per kilometre.
- Export the lot as a CSV of every trip, or a PDF for one financial year.
Deduction figures are an estimate to help you keep records — not tax advice.
Every price, and where it came from
Petrol Smart reads each state and territory's official fuel feed directly. Victoria's runs about a day behind, so approved user reports keep it current — Victoria is the one state where your report can beat the feed.
