P95 was the steepest climber of the lot, up 7.7c to 177.1 c/L in metro areas. P98 wasn't far behind at +7.4c, settling at 185.8 c/L. U91 rose 7.2c, and even diesel added 5.1c in metro areas, finishing the week at 178.1 c/L.

The daily data tells an interesting story. U91 in Perth started the week at a low of 149.3 c/L on Monday 29 June, then surged to 165.3 c/L by Wednesday before flattening out. The bulk of the weekly rise happened in just two days.

P95 followed an almost identical trajectory, jumping from 164.3 c/L on Monday to 181.2 c/L by Wednesday, then holding relatively steady through the rest of the week. P98 did the same, spiking from 173.3 c/L to 189.5 c/L between Monday and Wednesday.
