Unleaded and premium carried the weight of the week's increases. U91 metro rose 2.0c and P95 jumped 2.1c, both posting the sharpest moves of the three fuel types tracked. Diesel was the outlier, sitting flat in metro areas and barely budging in rural Queensland, down just 0.1c to 257.6c/L.

Rural drivers copped increases too, but smaller ones. U91 out of town rose 0.7c to 213.0c/L, meaning regional Queenslanders are already paying nearly 9 cents more per litre than their metro counterparts for the same fuel. For context, QLD metro U91 is currently 0.6c below the national metro average of 204.8c/L, which is a small but welcome buffer compared to drivers in the ACT paying 208.4c/L.
