Meanwhile, metro U91 has climbed for three consecutive weeks, adding 9c this week to reach 182.7 c/L.

What's Moving QLD Petrol Prices This Week

Every fuel type rose, but diesel's 19.6c metro jump stands out. That widens the premium over U91 to 37.2c per litre, meaning a 70-litre diesel fill costs about $26 more than the equivalent U91 tank. If you're diesel-dependent, that's a meaningful hit to the weekly budget.

U91 climbed steadily every single day this week, starting at 177.1c on Monday and rising to 187.6c by Sunday. There was no mid-week relief, no dip. Prices simply marched upward across all seven days, with rural prices tracking even higher, peaking at 194.3c by Sunday.

Diesel followed the same relentless upward path, opening the week at 211.8c metro and closing at 227.4c by Sunday. Rural diesel finished at 231.5c, meaning drivers outside the southeast are now paying over $2.31 per litre.

P95 and P98 both rose around 9c, with premium unleaded sitting at 199.9c and 207.8c metro respectively. E10 remains the cheapest option at 180.3c metro, just 2.4c below U91.

Queensland's metro U91 average of 182.7c sits 0.5c above the national metro average of 182.2c. South Australia is the cheapest state this week at 179.5c, while ACT drivers are hurting the most at 188.6c.

There's a 67.5c gap between the cheapest and most expensive metro stations right now. The lowest-priced metro station is U-Go Rocklea at 158.5c/L, while the most expensive is United Browns Slipway at 226c/L. That gap is enormous and it's entirely about which station you choose.

Looking at brand averages for metro U91, Atlas Fuel leads the cheapest end at 171.1c across 4 stations, followed by U-Go at 172.7c across 9 stations. At the other end, BP averages 185.8c across 90 stations and EG Ampol averages 185.6c across 58 stations. That's a 14.7c difference between the cheapest and priciest brands. On a 50-litre fill, that's over seven dollars.

All three forecasts sit above this week's average of 182.7c, though confidence softens as the week progresses, dropping to 55% by Wednesday.
