ACT fuel prices have dropped across every fuel type, and U91 metro has now fallen for three consecutive weeks, sitting at 174.6c/L as of 8–15 June 2026. Biggest Movers in ACT Fuel Prices This Week

Diesel was the standout mover, tumbling 7.2c to land at 213.8c/L. That's a meaningful saving if you're driving a diesel vehicle or running a small business with a van or ute. The drop didn't happen overnight either. Diesel held relatively steady through Monday and Tuesday, then fell sharply from 208.4c/L on Friday, continuing its slide through the weekend. P95 and P98 both dropped by around 4.3 to 4.4c, landing at 193.6c/L and 200.7c/L respectively. Premium drivers are paying noticeably less than they were a fortnight ago.

One figure worth calling out: diesel is running 39.2c above U91 metro. That's a wide gap, and if you're deciding between vehicles or thinking about fuel costs for a work vehicle, it's a meaningful consideration.

Brand averages tell a similar story. Metro Fuel averaged 170.3c/L across 8 stations, while 7-Eleven averaged 176.6c/L across 13 stations. That's a 6.3c gap between the cheapest and priciest brands. Reddy Express and BP sat comfortably in the middle at 173.2c/L and 174.5c/L respectively.

The short-term outlook for ACT metro U91 continues to point downward. If that plays out, metro drivers could be filling up below 171c/L by mid-week.
